Why This Exists

This site was created in an attempt to make the military's mind-numbing bureaucracy slightly less mind-numbing.

If you've ever tried to figure out your reserve retirement pay, you know the struggle: scattered information across dozens of government websites, confusing regulations, and calculations that seem designed to require a PhD in military personnel administration.

We built these calculators to give reservists and National Guard members a quick, easy way to estimate their retirement benefits without having to decode DFAS publications or parse Title 10 of the U.S. Code.

Reserve retirement is tribal knowledge—you shouldn't have to serve for 20+ years and have it explained to you a dozen times before you finally start to understand it. This site aims to change that by making the information accessible to everyone from day one.

🛠️ How This Was Built

This site was created using Claude, an AI assistant by Anthropic, through their Claude Code tool. The calculators, styling, and content were developed through an iterative conversation - proving that even complex military retirement calculations can be tackled with the right tools.
